Description
Catalonian work, the walnut stock with boot-shaped butt, set with brass plaques pierced and engraved in flowering vine motifs, and silver buttcap, barrel band and triggerguard with steel counterplate and belthook. The fine patilla-type miquelet lock with small engraved panels. The barrel octagonal at the breach with characteristic expanded muzzle. Retains its silver-capped ramrod. Early 18th century. Light wear, short scrape to barrel. Overall length 48 cm. Condition III
