Description
A superior example, the one-piece grip made from a section of polished antler, the mounts wrought entirely in finely-embossed and engraved silver involving bands of foliage and a central panel depicting a stag. The single-edged, well-forged steel blade with radiused tip. Retains its woven cord with tassels. Mid 19th century. Overall length 37 cm.
