A rare type, wrought entirely of steel, the cylindrical haft with lightly tapering grip and knob pommel, the curved section chiseled in a geometrical lineal motifs representing tiger stripes. The head in the form of a fully-modeled tiger’s head with protruding tongue. Patina overall. 16th-17th century. Overall length 75.6 cm.
