Description
Likely German, the two-piece skull with roped comb, the well-formed visor and bevor sharing a common, embellished, pivot as is typical, the visor with raising stud, the bevor with rectangular breaths. The gorget composed of two pairs of lames with turned, roped edges and closing stud to either side. Retains most original black finish. C. 1560-1600. Some wear, bevor catch lacking, finish worn. Height 39.5 cm. Condition III
