Description
Aceh work, under strong Ottoman influence, the grip a single piece of moss agate with expanded pommel and profiled and engraved silver ferrule. The straight, single-edged blade with expanded tip and false edge, wrought of pattern-welded damascus steel. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with large, silver mounts engraved overall with scrolling vines and crescent moons. Early 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 43.5 cm. Condition II
