Description
Kachin work, the hilt with applied bone pommel, the grip wrapped with braided and lacquered rattan with brass ferrule. The stout, chisel-edged blade with characteristic flared tip, with layer-forged construction visible near the cutting edge. In its carved wooden scabbard with rattan bindings. Late 19th century. Light wear. Overall length 81 cm. Condition II
