Description
An earlier example with fixed blade, the robust head and haft forged of steel with elaborate brass inlay to the obverse. The polished, profiled horn grip with engraved brass mounts. Mid- 19th century. Light wear overall. Such picks were used against British mounted units to great effect during the Afghan Wars. Overall length 32 cm. Condition II
