Description
A large example of earlier date, with hourglass grip composed of two slabs of horn, the obverse light, the reverse dark. The elegant mounts of steel, with applied copper and brass details, the wooden scabbard mounted en suite, with rayskin covering. The massive blade wrought of well-known Tibetan “hairpin” layering. 18th century or earlier. Light wear. Overall length 41 cm.
