Description
The grip carved of a single section of walrus with engraved and nielloed silver bosses. The well-wrought, parallel-edged blade with tapering point, struck with a maker’s mark on either side. The worn silk velvet -covered wooden scabbard with large engraved and nielloed mounts decorated in characteristic Circassian motifs. Early 19th century. Overall length 32.2cm. Condition II
