A massive example, with hardwood grips and steel pommel, the guard wrought of wootz steel. The massive blade long, heavy and shallowly curved, with traces of wootz pattern visible. In its wooden scabbard with remains of leather covering and suspension bands intact. Mid-18th century. As found. Overall length 98cm. Condition III
