Description
With rhino grips and nielloed silver mounts, the ferrule set with turquoises. The single-edged blade with upturned tip and spine chiseled and pierced with a split-palmette, wrought of fine Persian black wootz in a rare double ladder pattern on the left side and a double tumbling or zigzag ladder on the right. 18th-19th century. Well worn, substantial losses to silver. Overall length 21cm. Condition IV
