Likely Alevid, of gilt brass in the form of a palmette, finely pierced throughout, and including the holy names, ALLAH, MUHAMMAD, ‘ALI, HASSAN, HUSSEIN! The socket tapering continuously toward the head and affixed by rivets at the bolster. First half of the 19th century. Overall length 36.5cm. Condition III
