Description
Cuban work, the distinctive hilt with fingerstalls and hooked pommel known as the “Guanabacoa” type (after the township in eastern Havana.) This example with blonde horn grips. The lightly-curved, single-edged blade with narrow fullers, and elaborately etched. Latter 19th century. Well worn. Overall length 81cm. Condition III
