Of characteristic L-guard type with thumbring, the corded wooden grip retaining original leather and typical expanded steel pommel. The massive blade straight and single-edged with paired fullers, the upper developing into a long yelman or backedge. In its leather–covered wooden scabbard with iron mounts, including locket, early suspension band configuration, and framed chape. Latter 17th-early 18th century. Light wear. Overall length 109 cm. Condition III
