A rare example, wrought entirely of steel, the hilt lavishly overlaid in gold and engraved in Arabic calligraphy panels and flowering vinework overall, short, broad blade wrought of wootz with central ridge developing into an armor-piercing tip. Early 19th century. Some wear. Overall length 31.5cm. Condition II
