A massive example, with silver mounts, the pommel formed as a crown set with four turquoises and engraved with a crest, the ebony grip with escutcheon plate, the profiled steel guard likewise set with turquoises. The robust, tapering, double-edged blade of diamond section with short flat at the forte. 17th-18th century. Light wear. Overall length 58.1cm. Condition III
