Description
A rare example of characteristic form, with faceted hardwood grip terminating in a large, drop-shaped pommel, carved around the periphery. The heavy steel bolster stepped and profiled, the massive blade with convex spine and concave edge, struck with a maker’s mark. 18th century. Minor wear. Overall length 53cm. Condition II
