The mounts of steel, finely inlaid with gold in flowering vine motifs and geometrical stars, the broad, lightly-curved heirloom blade wrought of actively-patterned black wootz damascus steel and elaborately inlaid in gold with a in Qur’anic inscription including ALLAH! In its velvet covered wooden scabbard mounted en suite with the hilt. Mid-19th century. Blade with areas of pitting. Overall length 89cm. Condition III
