Description
A larger than average example of characteristic form, wrought entirely of plaited rattan with a domed center and flattened rim, with seven brass mounts in the form of the Seal of Solomon, pierced and engraved, together with a further group of small brass stars which serve to strengthen the edge. Retains its cord grip to the reverse. Mid-19th century. Diameter 41.5cm. Condition II
