A superior example, the stock elaborately carved and inlaid with silver in vine motifs over its entire surface, with silver buttcap, sideplate and barrel sleeve deeply embossed and chased, the lock, triggerguard and barrel finely chiseled en suite, even the trigger is embellished with a faceted coral. Mid-18th century. Overall length 42.5cm. Condition I
