Description
A rare Qajar era example, with broad, curved blade etched with scrolling borders and cartouches. The base of the topspike wrought as a pierced, polylobate medallion with straight, pointed terminal, the peen a well-detailed, fully-modeled bullshead with skewed antlers. Showing traces of inlaid silver. First half of the 19th century. Overall length 90cm.
