Of characteristic circular form, the wooden core bound in leather, the obverse elaborately embellished with brass mounts and complex geometrical brass studded motifs and leather appliques. the reverse with handwritten inscription, REPRODUCTION OF HIGHLAND TARGE OR TARGET IN THE CASTLE MUSUEM AT INVERNESS. BELIEVED TO RELATE TO THE CLAN MCKENZIE OF SEAFORTH. Beginning of the 20th century.
