Description
Made by Toledo craftsmen, and based closely upon the sword of the last Muslim ruler of Granada, Muhammad XII, known as Boabdil (1460-1533.) With bakelite grip and mounts enameled and gilded. The long, straight, double-edged blade with gilded panels at the forte and marked TOLEDO. In its leather scabbard decorated en suite with the hilt. C. 1930. Light wear, staining to blade. Overall length 93.5cm. Condition II
