Description
Hilt with horn grips mounted in finely engraved and nielloed silver. The double-edged blade with single offset fuller with an etched panel at the forte containing the maker’s name, ABAKAROV, amongst foliage. In its matching scabbard with engraved and nielloed silver mounts, inscribed in Russian on the reverse of the locket, K.N. M.C. SHELIA and dated 12-20-1910, the ferrule struck with Russian hallmarks. Dated 1910. Some wear, losses to leather. Overall length 53.5cm. Condition III
