Kachin work, the hilt with typical flared pommel, the grip wrapped with braided rattan. The stout, chisel-edged blade with characteristic flared tip, with layer-forged construction visible near the cutting edge. In its carved wooden scabbard with rattan bindings. Late 19th century. Blade pitted, sling cracked. Overall length 74.8 cm. Condition III
