A classic example of the type, with deeply-patinaed elephant grips and well-wrought blade of fine black wootz damascus steel with T-back, chamfered edge and armor-piercing tip, with large, intricate gold inlay scrollwork panel with peacock at each forte. Late 18th-eatly 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 39cm. Condition III
