Description
German work, the complex hilt finely forged of flattened-oval section bars with ovoid pommel, the wooden grip with later twisted iron wire wrap. The long, double-edged blade of lenticular section, forged with a rectangular forte with a short flat to either side bearing illegible marks interspersed with crosses. First quarter of the 17th century. Light wear overall, guard slightly loose. Overall length 113.4cm. Condition III
