Description
The wooden grip with hair tassels and rattan wrap to base and pommel, the stout, single-edged blade of rare form, curved, with heavily-profiled spine. In its carved wooden scabbard with rattan bindings, the broad belt embellished with numerous applied cowrie shells. Late 19th-early 20th century. Minor losses, light wear overall. Overall length 72cm. Condition III
