Description
Serbian work, the walnut stocks finely carved and inlaid with silver wire, with elaborately-modeled brass furniture retaining original heavy gilding with silver escutcheons, filigreed, nielloed and set with corals. The locks finely engraved overall, the stepped barrels inlaid at the breech en suite. In their double holster of leather with gilt-embroidered velvet face, sling intact. Mid-19th century. Pommel buttons restored, holster seams reinforced in period. Overall length 42cm. Condition III
