Description
An early example of the type, based upon an Italian longarm which evolved in Boka Kotorska, Montenegro. Stocked in dark hardwood and elaborately inlaid in mother of pearl, with brass medallions and other materials, with characteristic sloping butt and brass mounts, the French lock and triggerguard of engraved steel, the octagonal Italian barrel fitted with sights during the 19th century, and retained to the stock by embossed and engraved silver bands. Beginning of the 18th century. Worn, losses. Overall length 160cm. Condition III
