Seldom encountered, a robust, early example with well-forged characteristic Old Indian baskethilt with pierced and chiseled guard, the long, double-edged blade with central ridge, the expanded tip flattening in order to deliver effective tip cuts. Showing traces of wootz forging. 16th-17th century. Worn, period repair to grip. Overall length 91cm. Condition IV
