Description
In Ottoman style, popular with Cossack officers. The staghorn grips with rolled pommel, brass guard engraved. The broad, curved multifullered blade with acute tip signed OSIP RATLOV at the left forte beneath the guard. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with brass mounts, retains its brass-mounted leather belt. Late 19th-early20th c. Worn, minor losses to belt. Overall length 89.5cm. Condition III
