Of characteristic form, bronze with finely molded muzzle and breach, prominent cascabel, trunnions and dolphin loops and original swivel. Well-patinated. 18th-19th century. Such cannon were popular throughout the Moro lands and Borneo, where they were used on shipboard, the rails of longhouses and other dwellings, and as part of the dowry. Overall length 15cm.
