Description
Qing Dynasty, the single-edged blade straight with upswept, back-edged tip. The hilt with brass pommel, ferrule and circular guard engraved overall, the grip covered in rayskin and bound in brass wire. In its wooden scabbard covered in polished rayskin and mounted in engraved brass en suite with the hilt. Mid-19th century. Minor wear. Ex-Higgins Armory Museum, Worcester, MA. Overall length 72cm. Condition III
