Description
Mughal work, with fine agate grip and steel guard elaborately inlaid in gold. The graceful blade of Northern or Muslim form with pronounced T-back and chamfered edge, with worn gold-inlaid panels at the forte on either side, and forged of fine Persian black wootz damascus steel, displaying a prominent pattern. 18th century. Areas of pitting. Overall length 47cm. Condition III
