Description
A larger than average example, of characteristic form with bifurcate hilt carved of a single section of well-patinated fibrous horn incised overall with geometrical designs, with petaled ferrule and bolster and heavy, single-edged, pattern-welded damascus blade with fuller and radiused tip. First half of the 19th century. Short, stable cracks to base of grip and pommel. Overall length 80 cm. Condition III
