The mounts wrought entirely of copper as a fully-modeled prawn, finely detailed with areas of silvering and gilding. The well-forged blade with mumei tang and slight curvature with distinct shinoji, displaying a clear midare hamon. Edo era, latter 18th c. Mounts worn, blade with scuffs and scratches. Overall length 27cm. Condition III
