Description
A massive example, with profiled steel pommel, guard with beaded quillon terminals and ring guard, and twisted wire-wrapped wooden grip. The long, double-edged blade of flattened diamond section, struck at the forte with an armorer’s mark. First half of the 19th century. Patinated overall, wire wrap slightly loose. Overall length 112.5cm. Condition III
