Wrought of fine Persian black wootz steel with stag grips. The figured ferrule and forte finely inlaid in gold, with cartouches containing frolicking gazelles. The tangband inlaid with flowering vines in gold. In its shagreen-covered wooden scabbard. Scabbard as found. Overall length 30.5cm. Condition III
