Of Circassian form, wrought of silver and superbly nielloed overall with naturalistic roses on intertwined stems, finely drawn and shadowed, together with an oval panel containing a pair of snakes twined around a blade surmounted by a crescent moon, and on the spherical pommel, a monogram composed of the letters M. K. When the grip is rotated at the midsection, the crop slides open to reveal a chamber for a small bore bullet. After loading, it is it is again rotated to the closed position, automatically cocking the pistol. After removing the tompion or plug from the tip of the crop, the pommel cap is flipped open to reveal a stud trigger. A sliding safety is located just above the pommel. First quarter of the 20th c. Said to have been presented to Turkish President Mustafa Kemal during the late 1920s. Overall length 90.5cm. Condition I
