Description
Comprising a knife and fork with walrus grips inlaid with brass and corals, terminating in turban-shaped pommels. The well-wrought knife of yataghan form, with fullering and profilework, intricately inlaid in gold and silver, AMAL (Work of) HASSAN SARSI AJUSANAT and YEAR 1296 1879. The two-tined fork likewise marked Work of Hassan 1296 and SARAJEVO 1879. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with wire-wrapped seam and large embossed silver mounts. Dated 1879. Light wear. Overall length 45.5cm. Condition II
