A form which was extremely popular throughout the Ottoman Empire, the walnut stock with baroque butt and scrolling wire inlays. The massive lock likely British. The heavy barrel with widely-flared muzzle, lavishly etched with Arabic calligraphy. Mid-19th century. Worn. Overall length 60cm. Condition III
