An exceptionally large example, Circassian or Chechen work, the grip carved of a single section of horn, and secured by two engraved silver bosses to the massive blade, forged with a pronounced central ridge, and tapering continuously to the point. Retains most original edge. Edge nicked. First half of the 19th century. Overall length 62.3 cm Condition III
