Mughal work, the steel mounts finely inlaid in flowering vine motifs in gold and silver, the curved, single-edged blade wrought of actively-patterned wootz and inlaid with gold and silver at the forte together with the inscription, ALLAH! In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard mounted en suite. Latter 19th century. Light wear overall, velvet heavily rubbed in spots. Overall length 71.3cm
