Rarely encountered, of characteristic form, fashioned entirely of stitched leather with elongated spout and circular base. Wooden plug intact. Mid-16th century. Wear and rubbing. Overall height 28cm. A number of such water flasks are preserved in the Askeri Muzesi, Istanbul. Condition III
