Description
Daghestan workmanship, with actively-grained hardwood stock, the spherical walrus butt with lanyard ring. Elaborately mounted in engraved and nielloed silver. With well-made miquelet lock and barrel chiseled at the breech. In its rare, original morocco leather holster decorated with Imperial Russian silver coins, each dated 1861. First half of the 19th century. Minor chip to barrel channel, holster suspension loop lacking. Overall length 44.4 cm. Condition II
