Description
Of characteristic form, with urn-shaped pommel and quillon terminals to the narrow guard set with a side ring, the sharkskin-covered grip with engraved white-metal ferrules. The robust blade with choiled forte and central fuller terminating in a quadrangular tip. Mid-16th century. Areas of minor pitting, sharkskin possibly a working life replacement. Overall length 41cm. Condition III
