Description
The hilt of horn, finely carved and pierced, with beaded brass ferrule. The blade deeply bellied and fullered, with remains of gold inlaid motifs, with applied gilt-bronze spine ornament including Garuda. In its characteristic long scabbard, well carved at the throat and polychromed to the tip. 18th century. Worn, with considerable rubbing and losses. Overall length 66cm.
