Description
Early Qing Dynasty, the work of a master. Composed of hide, steel and exceptionally fine pierced and profiled brass including four characters reading, FORTUNE SMILES UPON YOU, the steel struck with a maker’s mark. Together with a suede pipe case with silk tassels. 18th century. Minor wear. Overall length of case 33cm. See V.
