Description
A substantially earlier example than usually encountered, of characteristic form, deeply patinated overall, the intricately-carved head with projecting tongue and inlaid abalone eyes, with original feather dazzler intact. The haft expanding continuously to the butt, and terminating in an obtuse angle. Mid-19th century or earlier. Overall length 163.8cm.
